No, but for real. Can you see it behind where we are sitting in the Yurt?
Of course, here is Mindy. Gosh, I just love her (and her taste in rugs). The thing is, I didn’t think I would have the money for a rug because, hello. Rugs are expensive. Plus, nothing makes a room look smaller than a rug that is too small for it. I really wanted something with deep blues and teals and I found it but there was that price issue again. But then Bex told me about this one at Target that I have been obsessed with it since I got in on sale. Even normally priced, it’s still a really great deal. I can’t even express how much I love it to you guys except with a brief photo montage. These originally appeared on my Instagram (follow me!) so I will have to lay off the rug photos but isn’t she a beauty?I love gray and neutral ones as well. In fact, in the photo with the picture of all the rugs up above you can click around on the one that strikes your fancy. Or just below here there is an even wider array. I think they are fab. They are also in a variety of price ranges from Target to West Elm to Overstock to One King’s Lane and so you may just get lucky.
There are a million reasons I love this look in a room. Let’s start with the fact that it looks really dramatic when I lay on the floor and complain about my life like Mindy. But also, I love how it anchors the room and makes a big impact. In my room, everything else is neutral so the rug strikes just the right chord in a room that should be calm but reflect my bold personality too. Do I sound like I’m fancy or what?
I’ll leave you with a tidbit for making sure you buy the correct sized rug for a room. Every piece of furniture (every single piece of furniture) should be able to touch (as in sit on) part of the rug.
