This year has been less than ideal. And yet I have been made keenly aware of the fact that when times are tough, the most important thing to do is to give back. I love CARE and their gifts of lasting change (and I seriously cannot wait for my catalogue to come…any day now, fingers crossed). I especially love the CARE empowers young girls and they let me be a part of it.
This year (once I get that catalogue) I really want to sit down with my little sister and pick something to gift. CARE’s gifts directly affect women and children around the world who desperately need help. This year little sis has fallen in love with school. I don’t know if she can imagine a world where little girls don’t get to school but for $130 we could give the gift of making sure a girl somewhere in the world where that is difficult gets to go to school!
I also have to say how much I love CARE’s campaign to #DreamWithHer which is all about empowering young women and girls. Please be sure to check out their website and the gifts for these girls. I also know CARE is doing a lot of Facebook live events to share their mission and the stories behind the #DreamWithHer campaign.
When people talk about the Christmas season, this is what they mean.
