Lindsay of Bourbon, Lipstick, and Stilettos on her Greatest, Strangest Hobby.

I need to introduce you to one of my favorite beauty reads. She keeps it real not only about make up and beauty but about life. And if you know me, you know I so appreciate that. Meet Lindsay:

Hello, Flowers in my Hair readers! I’m Lindsay and I blog at Bourbon, Lipstick, and Stilettos. I write about life, positive body image, cocktails, and share an occasional recipe. But my favorite topic to discuss is beauty. I am in no way a professional, but simply love learning about and experimenting with makeup and skincare. I spend an inordinate amount of time researching and discussing cosmetics- it’s my greatest (and maybe strangest?) hobby.
However, I don’t subscribe to the notion that you have to spend a lot of money to look and feel great. While there are some products I’m willing to splurge on, you CAN find great products at your local drugstore. Here are some of my favorites:

Biore Pore Charcoal Cleanser // Deep Cleansing Pore Strips // Yes to Grapefruit Correct and Repair Brightening Facial Towelette // Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum // St. Ives Apricot Scrub // St. Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion Spray // Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant // Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Night Cream //The Neutrogena product is a staple on “best of” lists. It’s perfect for introducing your skin to Retinol, a form of Vitamin A that helps fight wrinkles. The St. Ives lotion is great for summer- it moisturizes your skin without being too heavy and is quick to dry.

Wet n Wild MegaGlow Illuminating Powder // Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation // Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara // Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor // Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator // NYX Wonder Pencil // NYX Liquid Liner // NYX Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette // Flower Transforming Touch Powder-to-Creme Blush // Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer // Physician’s Formula CC Cream // NYX Cosmetics Round Case Lipstick in Chloe //I obviously had an issue selecting only a few makeup favorites! As you can see, I’m a huge fan of Maybelline and NYX Cosmetics: both brands offer high quality with very low prices. I’m currently using the Maybelline Fit Me foundation and am amazed by the coverage, especially since it’s under $10! The NYX Wonder Pencil makes a fantastic lip liner which fights the feathering that occurs when you wear inexpensive lipstick. And the Wet n Wild MegaGlow has been my go-to summer bronzer/blush since I was in high school. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Thank you for reading! What are your drugstore favorites?

Please check her out! She has become a friend and a must read for me!

So many goodies here! Definitely going to be trying the Neutrogena Rapid Repair and the Maybelleine concealer- that’s one I’ve heard LOTS of awesome things about!
