I flew out of Chicago on Tuesday night. Because I am smart like that, I put off going to the DMV until Monday. But, oh wait, the polar vortex closed all the DMVs in the state. I was so worried they would be closed on Tuesday too. But thank goodness, Tuesday everything was open. I was scared I would fail the test. But I passed. I would show you the actual license but what about identity fraud? So here is a selfie I took after the DMV; just imagine my pearly whites showing in my license photo.
So, I made a pact with myself not to compare Chicago and San Francisco. It’s not fair to the people I love in both places and let’s be honest, there are pros and cons to both places. No one wants to hear: “Well, we do it this way in San Francisco…Well, in Chicago, we…” Ew. But I’m about to briefly break my pact and I think everyone in Chicago will understand. It was so cold. So cold. And it had nothing to do with my skin thinning. We broke records.Beyond the weather, I’m happy to be back in San Francisco. I feel affirmed that this is where I am supposed to be right now, which was a major question I have been asking myself. It was the first question in a series of questions that I’ve been asking myself and God. But I couldn’t really do anything until that first question was answered.
Happy Birthday, Nonna!
Her actual birthday was yesterday but since I was down with the stomach flu, I didn’t make a big to do about it on the blog. But expect a post dedicated to a dinner she made for us. Oh, my gosh. So delicious. I love this lady so much because she’s real. She’s young at heart. She loves me no matter what. Buon Compleanno, Nonna! Tanti Auguri!!!
Marc Jacobs Watch for Sale…
I am selling this on ebay but I thought I would offer it here first. It’s never been worn; everything is included, every part of the packaging even. I’m selling it for $150, shipping included. It’s gunmetal gray and leather. Nothing was wrong with it; I just ended up gifting something else to someone instead. You can email me if you are interested, otherwise to ebay I will go.
So if you don’t know, I had the stomach flu. It was not fun. Not fun at all. Especially after a long and late and turbulent flight. Meanwhile I have so much to do: unpack, clean, organize, plan.
There are a ton of exciting posts coming. Even my own family was like: Nina, do people really want to read about us? You need to write about other things. And I replied: well, I’ve been with you so much lately! Haha. But, no really. Some really exciting things are on the horizon. Coming soon: an incredible apartment makeover I did awhile ago, a closet make over, some awesome collaborations, and adventures galore…
